Didital Smoker Box Question

  You are correct that rye-guy will need the bypas plug made with a  coaxial dc power connector with a 100k ohm (1/8 watt or higher) resistor across pins on the connector. I tested this and my generator showed 77 degrees. The 8 foot  cord will only allow use of digital sensor when generator and smoke tower are seprerated, but both used for cold smoking. By the way, there several sizes of connectors. I used a type or size M which works, center pin diameter and barrel diameter right, but barrel length a little long so dosen't seat all the way in, but does work ok.  Next time I get to a Radio Shack store, will find correct size and pass along that #.
