I used to hunt and fish in the Helen area before Helen became a tourist trap.

I made a lot of boot prints in the national forest myself.
Like you i gave it up when they started manicuring the service roads, and stopped all camping beside the streams.
I really enjoyed fresh trout and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Yeppers. Do not mean to hijack this thread but I noticed that you are from North GA. Where? I was born in Miami, went to High School in Elberton, GA and now live in NW FL.
