After a very long day yesterday I had to pull the picnics at around 182 Degrees due to a storm. I spent the day putting new cabinets and counters in our kitchen. I thought the meat would be ok, when I went to pull it wasn't tender enough for my liking. Was gonna reheat today in the crock pot.

Any thought or tips on this method? Also any advice on what type of liquid I should put in? Didn't get much of the juices from the picnics because in our hurry to get the meat in the juices leaked out.

When I reheat using the slow cooker / crock pot I always add a little apple juice to it to help keep the meat moist.
I'm sure others will be along shortly to add to this.

Same here - apple juice. You may also find that juice is not needed. Most pork has a lot of fat and will be moist without anything.

I was thinking apple juice. Should I dilute with water?

No need to dilute and probably no need to add all that much juice.  Several hours in the crockpot on low with a couple ounces of apple juice should finish it all just fine.

Alright thanks Ka

So here's the end product. I got a late start on it so I TCed after 4 hours of smoke. So I didn't get my thick bark like I like, but my wife doesn't like the bark so she was happy. After reheating in the crock pot with apple juice it was pretty good, not as good as last weekend's.

Here we are with Jan's and molasses two 6.5 lbs and a 3.5 lb picnic....on sale for 1.18 per pound.....but it was Walmart meat.
