Wow! You may not make my body feel better but all those thoughts and prayers sure make my spirit lift! Thank you to each and every one!
For the few that has got to know me. They realize this is just another stepping stone. As I have had serious problems from the early 80's putting me on disability. I did have a really rough time back then. I wasn't ever sick till then other then a cold or something like that. And Im one of the crazy ones who love to work and stay busy. With the 401's tanking and me loosing most all my retirement and really not considering retirement. The words I couldn't work no longer about done me in.  Spent over 5 years in bed and on 32 pills twice a day,and half that one time a day and all my diabetics meds.  But I did get off some and got i touch with my faith and what was important to me in life. It even surprised me what was important as I never slowed down to think. Then in January of this year I got feed up. My weight was over 310 and I didnt want to wake up. figured it wasn't worth living like that. So I started pushing the limits. I dropped all my meds and doctors except the four pills that helped me stay alive. And my insulin's. Kept a family doctor and my diabetic doctor. Got off the diabetic diet that was putting weight on me. Quit eating out, wouldn't eat any thing that hat things on the label I never heard of or sounded like chemicals or coloring. Also no preservatives. Ate only one meal a day at 6 :00 pm or later.(no snacks needed then) And since January I have lost over 70 lbs. and 10 pants sizes.
Now there saying the reason this neck is so bad. Is because loosing all that weight removed a lot of support. My necks so bad even walking I feel like a bobble head doll. LOL So after giving up smoking in early 80's and drinking also,I guess my weight loose is the only thing left to blame. LOL! But they did say every disk in my neck is real bad and probably in my lower back as I had 5 bad there 20 years ago. I have degenerative arthritis so its a contiguous process of getting worse.
Sorry about this long letter but your responses mad me feel you should know. This isn't my first Rodeo! I was told 6 times now I wouldn't live 6 months. Starting in 1985. So my advise is dont' wait till its your time to make peace and slow down and enjoy life. Your time can come like mine i a moments notice. Make peace with your lord, your self and your friends and family. And enjoy life. Oh yeah and never believe a doctor knows when you will die. They don't call them practitioners for nothing. LOL
Thank You all again and you're all in my prayers. Sorry about the letter being so long also. But that is a short list of problems. LOL

You have nothing to apologise for. This is your post. I hope things work out for you Paul. I am at a cross roads in my life right now to. I am 360 lbs in pain all the time from siatic nerve trouble caused by a fall a had when I was a kid. On top of that I have Ulcerative Colitis. Life is great. Went to see about Lap band surgery but it is not cover by our medical and costs $15 to 20,000 bucks. My wife needs the surgery too. But life gets you down so you just have to grab your boot straps and pull them up. All the best to you Paul. And our prayers are with ya.
I like to walk threw life on the path of least resistance. But sometimes the path needs a good kick in the ass.

My wife was in the same boat.  She had hers done in Tijuana, Mexico for about $6k about two years ago.  Dr. Ortiz, who did her procedure, is a world-renowned lap band surgeon who has been featured on Oprah Winfrey.  Feel free to PM me for more details.

Paul, I hope things get better for you.  I'm thinking positive vibes for you.

Well thanks guys.  Appreciate it. They called and want me at Cleveland clinic Thursday to start the injections directly into the nerves. Using an xray they can hit each one i guess. Thought they were just the normal pain block. Well hopefully this will be worth it. Need some relief from this constant pain.
