LEM mark up

I recently received a LEM sales catalog and in it was a commercial grade 10 inch electric slicer for $480.00.  I immediately recognized the slicer as I had purchased one a few months earlier through www.Webstaurantstore.com.  It is identical, down to the included sharpener.  Motor size is the same, everything.  The only difference is in the LEM pic it appears there is a plastic guard on the meat carrier which mine does not have.  It's one of those things that would be the first thing you would take off as it would serve no practical purpose.

It pays to shop around and do your research thats for sure. One time I purchased a  1989 Mistubishi precis car and as I drove around town I realized It sure did look Just like a Hyundai Excel and later found out thats exactly what it was.  I felt taken advantage of as Mitsubishi stuck their name on it and charged a couple grand more. Baxtards :o

Funny thing I was looking at a LEM catalog I got a few days ago and almost gagged when I seen the prices. Good for spices and cures but no way on the other stuff with a LEM stamp and big price tag. Hell, Cabela's is much cheaper than them.  :)
