With your effort and cost involved, how much does it cost to make LJ's.  I found a great source for under $10 / pound and it is so much easier to just buy the Landjaegers and smoke the meat I enjoy doing.

Part of it is the enjoyment is in making it and the satisfaction of eating something you made. There are a lot of things I do that the wife says it would be easier to buy (and probably cheaper or just as cheap ) but where is the fun in buying something. (Besides, they don't usually let me have a nip or two of JD when I am in line at the store) ;D ;D

I totally understand your point.  It is that way for me when it comes to fishing.  I was lucky enough to find a Landjaeger that is commercially available that is tough to duplicate both in taste and cost.  For this reason I focus on the food I can make better and spend my effort towards accomplishing that.

Dont really matter how much. I know whats in the LJ and dont mind the wait for them to dry.

Would you be talking about Zubers LJ?
