I am thinking about cold smoking several different fruits. Strawberries, bananas, oranges, apples, pineapple, and possibly pears and/or blackberries come to mind. Has anyone out there tried smoking fruit? How were the results? How long should I cold smoke? Thanks for the help, this is a great forum!!

I did some pineapple slices once that were good.  Can't remember the wood I used.  Thanks for the reminder, will have to look that up.  I am sure I didn't think that up on my own.

Sorry, no smoked fruit attempts here, but there are plenty of fruits in my area that need to be smoked.

It is something that I've been meaning to look into. I have cold smoked sliced pineapples, cherries, and sliced apple, to various degrees of success; using pecan and no more than 40 minutes of smoke. There was a member from England that smoked fruit, canned or dehydrated it and sold it at a farmers markets, and was successful at it. She asked questions about how to go about it, but never shared how she did it.
