Well the weekend came and I dove head first into the bread making pool.   As I told Sonny my only experience to this point was Rising Crust Dijorno pizza.    I was nervous to start with because I didn't want to waste all ofSonny's effort by killing the starter.  There is precedent of me being a mass murderer if you count plants and pets.  ::)

Overall it went great.  Time consuming and I was doubting whether it was worth it for a bit.  Then I got to taste the fresh bread out of the oven.   I am already looking for what type to make next.  For this round I saved the two cups of starter and only made one recipie of Wheat Bread.   I got nervous about the amount in one loaf pan and split it.   Next time I will use one loaf pan.

Below are pictures that I took to commemorate the event! (they should be clickable)

Many thanks Sonny for all the work and effort you put into spreading starter all over the US.   Maybe your next trick could be to modify the starter towork on Congress.  ;D

Outstanding job Steven!!!!!!

The bread looks very good.

The starter will only get better as it matures.

Once you get comfortable with the starter, there is no need
to keep the extra jar of starter. You can if you want to. You
may want to pass the extra starter to a friend.

Remember after they rest in fridge 3 to 4 days renew them even
if you don't have time to make bread. Save a cup and dispose of
the rest. That will help you starter get stronger.

Will mark you off my hit list. ;) :)

(Maybe Congress does need some Sweet Bread)
