I have found a couple of things while I was tilling:
2 foot piece of heavy duty chain with double hooks
20 foot piece of heavy duty chain
(bet they were used together on some project)
     oil filter
     4 bricks
enough liter pine to last me a year
the remnants of a scrub brush

Felt like I was on a scavenger hunt and I won. ;D

That plot is HUGE

Sitting here putting the rows on graft paper and looking at a needs chart
per person on the veggies and I wish I could put some grass back. ;D
We have a buddy that has a garden that's maybe 15x40 (tops) and he's ALWAYS giving stuff away...
40x60 is a FARM.

Yup.  YOU ARE A FARMER NOW...

My Garden's in the past (20 years ago) were good and I was
callin up friends to call up friends to get rid of all the goodies.

We will see what is left in the ole steam tank to make this a success.

Sonny
The more I read this the more I crack up. You are going to need the boys to come over and give you a hand on the weeding. If you eat day and night you will never eat everything that garden will produce.

[somebody please stop my crazy brain before this gets even worse...]

Seriously?  You haven't had to do any weeding at all?  None?
Naw... They can't grow through all those dead Polar monkies until they rot real good...

If I had started in January tillin', the weeds would be null and void. But
I know I have a small challenge on hand. Leavin a 2 ft walk way to run
the tiller (17 inches) thru, that will throw dirt back on the plants and kill
some weeds. (I hope!)

The short term plan is my friend has a tractor that he swears started up
by itself and ran over my garden.

This Monkey is tired!

I did the cross tilling today and it didn't get any easier. I got started and
tilled about half (OK 1/3) before I had to take a break. Went back to the
back door and was pulling my boots off and got a cramp in my leg. That
didn't help. Tilling with a wounded leg isn't fun.

We are under a severe thunder storm watch tonite so I had to finish before
that. The rain will give me a chance to see how the water runoff is going to
affect the Garden since there is a slope to the area. I might have to put
some land scaping timbers down to divert the water.

I call a friend up and he came over. We put our heads together ........

.....because the garden needs to be leveled out some and decided not
to use a tractor, but just screen drag it from front to back. The mule will
do that just fine.

I have a few days off so I think I will smoke something! ;D
