Sriracha Peanuts
« on: December 30, 2013, 05:57:07 pm »
Mrs S bought some unsalted peanuts by mistake a couple weeks ago, so I have been thinking of some way to doctor them up.
When I did the Spam, I went ahead and put the peanuts in.
Before I did so, I mixed the peanuts with a combination of melted butter, Sriracha sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and salt:

I checked them after 1 1/2  hours.  They were drying nicely, and I thought I would give them another 30 minutes.  Here is what I found:

So, back to the drawing board.

P.S.  The peanuts that were not burned were mighty tasty!!

Pens, I think I have the pistachio thing down pat, but yes, I would have been P.O'd  if it was pistachios and not peanuts.
