Welcome from another newbie. I made a serendipitous oops. I bought another remote thermometer, thinking I had given my only one away. I found it eventually which mean I have two. The probe is wired but the wire can handle up to 500F so I'm not worried. I can set an audible alarm for temps up to, honestly I gave up at 350F. The lowest is 122F. It is made by Taylor and they were about $20 each.

I did have an honest remote thermometer with a belt holster that showed actual temp, target temp and would sound an alarm when the target temp was reached. That is gone. I doubt I will replace it. Then again, I said I could not justify the cost of a Bradley. Lo and behold, my husband bought it for me!
