 Camera is loaded. Getting ready to head out now. Were at 657 kids as of yesterday......

WOW! is an under statement. After three short months of planning and a goal of 400 kids. Final tally was 768 kids, about 2000 people altogether. We couldn't believe how the donations just poured in for this event. They came from all over the US, and a few from over seas as well. Each one of them kids walked away with a brand new fishing pole and basic tackle to get them going. 

The wife and I supplied about 725 burgers/dogs and buns. (thanks for the help with that) and cooked well over 1000 I think. We started cooking at 9am and didn't stop until 1:30pm. The line for food was about 200 deep seemed like, and never seemed to get shorter. Lots of happy kids and lots of smiles. What a great day! I have about 50 photos so I uploaded them to photo bucket.

Congratulations on a successful event, Patrick.  What a great way to spend the Father's Day weekend.

 Lots of fun and already planing the next one. Shooting for 1000+ kids next year. I have already committed to 1000 dogs/burgers for next year, June 13th. But probably will be more like 1500. A buddy was there with his three girls and also committed to bring his grill and help cook. It's not to early to help out in some way or form.

Oh, a little technical issue did come up. apparently the name cops and bobbers (opps) is copy righted. No big deal, copy right owner is fine with everything. Just need to change the name for next year. So, Badges and Bobbers, To Protect, Serve, and Fish.
