No advance, no smoke, no problem!!!

Ann said one of the smoke generators went bad this weekend on the latest smoker I built. It turned out to be a very weak advance motor and wouldn't push any biscuits if there were more than 3 in the tube.
I e-mailed Bradley and they replied telling me to call the 800 number.
After talking to Louise Blignault for a whole 30 seconds she told me that a new generator would be on it's way today!!! No charge!!! No returning the old one!!!
She was very pleasent to chat with and very knowlagable.
I MUST TELL EVERYONE I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH BRADLEY"S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
This is one company that has the consumers best interest in mind.
If anyone has Martins e-mail address let me know so I can send him a thank you and let him know they have a top notch gal working for them.

Interesting... i have a similar experience with the generator on my digital. It feeds just fine until I put two bubba pucks on top of a 4hour load of pucks.  Take the bubbas off and they will feed fine.  The slider part of the feeder is real jerky when going back and forth (real small jerks). I made sure the unit was clean of saw dust but still happening.  Just putting the bubbas on at the very end when the last pucks are fed.

I ended up drilling out all my bubba pucks to get the weight down to a third of the original.
They kind of look like a big meat grinding plate now.

Good Idea, (Da to me!) I can make a number of small holes to reduce wieght.  My head was hurting trying to figure out why the pucks would not drop --- thinking about angles/tilt and all that. Simple solution, take care...

Drilling holes in the pucks is a very good idea -- I made my own pucks several years ago and have never had a problem.  I have 8 holes around the outside and one in the center -- these are 0.50" holes.  I laid out the pattern first, and then step-drilled -- starting with a 0.125" drill.
