LOL, Gearing up for badges and bobbers 2015 http://www.badgesandbobbers.com/. Last year I purchased and cooked 1200 patties with help from some of you. Again, thanks for that. Looking to double the turn out for 2015. I have the hot dogs (3000) taken care of but it seems no one wants to donate the burgers. So I figured Ill buy the ground beef and make the patties my self. Looking for suggestions for presses. I have 7 months to get my goal of 3000 patties.

Thanks for the suggestions/advise

My local butcher will process your cow into hamburger patties.  He is "friends" with several cattlemen so he will have somebody willing to sell you 1/2 a cow (expect to pay between 3 and 3.50 a pound hanging weight for good beef).  There is probably somebody like this in your area, so you might want to check it out.  This might be the cheapest and easiest way to get that many patties.

The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you've got to have a what-the-hell attitude. Julia Child
