5280 smoker

Hi All:
Just got my smoker yesterday digital four rack,  and I cleaned the racks etc and seasoned my smoker today.
I have small 1.5 pound pork rost I want to try the smoker out with and wanted to know how
long and what temp to smoke it at.  I have read 1.5 hours per pound so my guess is two hours at
200-225F.  Any help you can provide would be great.

thanks in advance

The 1.5 hours per pound is a starting point for tough cuts of meat with a lot of connective tissue, and you are bringing the meat to a very high internal temperature. For leaner meat it is less time.

I can provide some information on the cabinet temperature and internal temperature. I generally cook/smoke my loins at 225°F, to an internal of 140°F. It has been awhile since I smoke a small cut in the Bradley, so giving you a time would be best a guesstimate  on my part. If you have a probe thermometer, it would be better to go by the internal temperature. If the meat is brined, it will cook faster than unbrined meat.
