Heating element
« on: February 11, 2017, 11:26:09 am »
I read where the resistance should read 28.8,the reading I'm getting is "0". That tells me my element is bad, correct?

Looks so to me, a working one should read between 27-32  :)

As long as your multimeter is working OK, that element is toast.

Here's a bad element:

Welcome to the Forum BrianW. Sorry to hear about your heating element. If you used (and tested) your "Fluke" Meter and your resistance is "0" then your element is toast.

Got the heating element and tested it, it read 29.4 ohms of resistance. I'm stalling it tomorrow . Then gonna try to smoke my first item
