smoke generator interchangeability

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the smoke generator from the digital can be swapped out with the "Original" type generator?

I have a digital with upgraded heater element and an Auber PID.
My smoke generator crapped out so i would like to swap it with the " original" type generator..

Hi Markham Smoke;

Welcome to the forum.

If you already have the smoker modified with a PID and heater element, your setup should already by pass the generator, therefore using the Original Generator should be alright.

Ordered a new generator.
Then take apart the old one and maybe fix it up as a spare!

Yes,   I just got a digital 4 rack and have had the original black Bradley for 15 years.  Today I wanted to cold smoke cheese only to find out I needed a bypass plug for the new digital generator to work.  I grabbed my old smoke generator and its chuggin along working fine.
