Olds, you're dead right about the draft.  It is one ugly sucker.  I got my notice in 1968 and ended up in Phu Bai that same year.  I pray no one ever gets drafted again for another useless war.

You hit the nail on the head too about financing this mess.  Just look at who sucks up every scrap of that 30 year paper.  No matter who wins the next presidential election I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.  It'll be a lose-lose situation.
