Been smoking sausage and had a little spillage problem and apparently burned out the slide switch.  The power light flickered and finally went out and that was all she wrote.  Called Bradley and ordered a new face plate and installed it.  Now the power indicator light comes on, but I'm not getting any heat.

I've got one batch left!!  Any ideas??

I am no technician so can't help you in that area.  I personally have started slightly elevating the front of the smoker to prevent this from happening to start with.  I do not recall who recommended it to me, but I think it was sound advice. ;)

bone...

the light to the left of the temp slider will go dim with slider left and go bright with slider right...

with slider all way right is the light bright... if so... open door and look to see if the elemet is glowing... its hard to see in the sun so you may have to shade it...

if you have light but no glow i would unplug everythng and make sure your element wires are tight and the porcelean isolators are tight...

so... if you got bright light and no glow with everything tight... it is most likley the element or the slider...

when you say new face plate... do you mean slider...

im off to puke boys... others will be here soon...

Greetings smokers!  Mrs. "bone" here.  Glad to report that he slept on it overnight and figured it out.  Had two wires switched.  Looks like he's back in business.

Thanks to everyone for their responses.  I've learned more about Bradley Smokers than I certainly ever thought I needed to know!

Welcome aboard Mrs. Bone.  Some of us husbands (including myself) refuse to read directions and have the wonderful support of our wives to bail us out. ;D
