I just bought my new Bradley from BBQ's Galore, and am looking forward to smokin' up a storm in the near future.  I tried a couple of the "condom" style smokers, and got fed up with the hassles.  I have read nothing but good things about the Bradley's, so here I am.

While at BBQ's galore, I noticed a box of multi-flavored pucks sitting near the display, with a handwritten note "comes with the Smoke Generator".  This immediately got my hopes up that a similar box would be included with the smoker package.  Imagine my disappointment [:(] when no such package was found in the box!  Why [?] wouldn't the Bradley people put some kind of puck sampler package into the smoker?  Think of the appetites that would be whetted  [:p]being able to test so many new flavors while learning the ropes.

Good point! Unfortunately the Bradley folks don't have a peek here (forum)- as far as I know. Perhaps if we dropped them an email or a phone call and put that bug in their ear...I know it's too late now but ChezBubba- www.chezbubba.com  provides a box of bisquettes with all orders. Why not go back to BBQs Galore and now ask for that box they offered?

I'm sure you'll enjoy your new smoker!

First, other than a dealer including pucks with the sale of a Bradley as far as I know no manufactere supplies chips or sawdust etc. The only dealer I know who supplies pucks with purchase is Chez. Plus he give a 10% on future purchase of pucks if you bought the unit from him.

Next the note said: "comes with the Smoke Generator".  That is not a complete Bradley.  Try asking the dealer about this. Maybe he will step up to the pump and give you a package.

The stainless smoke generator does come from Bradley with the 60-pack. They also offer a Combo Set with the black smoker, 60-pack, cover & video. To my knowledge, that is the only way you get a 60-pack with anything unless you order it from us.

We don't stock the Combo Set per se because we can beat the price of the package only stocking the individual components. Not to mention, it gives our customers greater flexibility in getting what they really want.

We also offer "The Bubba Pack", which is a 48-pack of 12 each of the 4 woods not included in the Bradley 60-pack for you adventurous types.

Welcome to the forum, I look forward to hearing of your successes.[:)]

Too bad you didn't look around a little more CS. I saved $100.00 over the BBQ Galore price by going into Wholesale Sports on 48th Ave SE to buy my Bradley Smoker (about a block from the BBQ Galore SE store) They also carry a fairly large supply of pucks.

Hey hey hey, some Alberta boys to chat with[:D]
Welcome...
You will find that Wholesale is an excellent source for some other needed supplies as well.  They have a great selection of the hi-mtn products ie jerky mix, poultry brine, buckboard bacon.  My Lethbridge branch is weak in stocking the extra racks and other Bradley add ons.  I've even been looking into finding a direct source for accessories cause no one stocks the stuff locally.

I have a local independent that I buy my pucks from, he gives me a better deal than Wholesale, Peavy Mart, or other independents in the area.

Have a look around here - lots of good info and solid advice from the regulars.

Hey Whitetailfan...how the h*^% do you get your BS to work at all with all the wind down there in Lethbridge??? [;)]
The Wholsale Sports here does not stock any accessories either but seemed to be willing to order stuff in for you. However their next shipment was going to be aprox 2 weeks so I ordered from Bubba instead, but it may offer another option.

Well, that's a pretty legitimate question...one of the things that surprised me the most about this unit is how much the wind will affect its ability to sustain higher temperatures.

I smoke 50/50 on my back deck (calm day) and in the front of the house where I can block our <font color="blue">west winds</font id="blue">[}:)]  I actually have scraps of plywood in the garage labelled <font color="red">"SMOKER"</font id="red"> that I use to level out the smoker on my sidewalk which is a bit tilted.

My back deck faces SW so I had 6' high glass railing installed on the side that gets the wind from the NW (ya know...the prevailin MONSTER wind). Even with that I found I had to get the BS off the deck level to keep the wind away from coming in under the glass and lowering the temp.
Have you used your BS during the depths of winter yet..and if so..how did it work at -20?

Nah, sorry dude, I bought it in February...however there were some pretty cold days then as well.  What I would recommend to counteract the cold is to make sure it's in the sun.  That adds a lot of extra heat on the black smoker anyway.  But to answer your question in a simple manner, to date, I have not had an incident where I could not get the smoker to a cooking temperature due to a low ambient temperature.

Good one CB[:D]
More often than not its both!  But I mean even in smoke and spice, they provide recipes for you to start out smoking the right way (in the beverages section) so I think its pretty universal no?
