Turkey Day Morning Recently Burned Santiago Canyon In The OC

my favorite donkeys...


and a new pony...


the bug eye brick has an emotional attachment to these donkeys...


crazy rock formation was covered in scrubb just a few weeks ago...


some of the prickly pear cactus survived... barely...


the entire canyon is burned as far as can be seen...


wise old man...

O,
You had me worried there for a moment when you mentioned Turkey day and then had a picture of a donkey.  Thought maybe you got confused on which farm you stopped at until I saw the heading on the picture.  Sure glad you didn't try to pluck a couple of them.  They can get kinda mulish you know.

the beauty and the beast sat nov 24 2007...

what a glorious day...

we slabbed it from anaheim to the cochella area to meet another other k1100rs rider...

we found each other and we were off... the 86 to the s22 to the 76 to the 79 to palomar east grade loop to the 76 to the 341 to the 243 over the hill to banning...

we split up in banning... we slabbed it back to anaheim... about 12 hours... about 435 miles...

borrego spings area...

yes those are dirt bikes down there...



sand rats in the distant desert on buggies of all kinds...



some fine sweepers on the s22...



palomar mountain...





5000 foot dust devil on palomar...



lake henshaw looking in need of a good snow...



san jacinto mountain...

it was a glorious day sparkler... im sure arlen is on a poker run somewhere on his victory vision... the other rider is a guy from seattle who rode down to rancho mirage to spend turkey day with his pops... he has 4 of those bikes right now... a skilled wrench and has a garage full of used parts... a knowledgeable guy to know... actually you may know him... he is an egg head...

on palomar there is a guy that snaps pro quality shots and posts them on the internet for sale...
