whitecourt alberta... snow hew yesterday and meltin today making room for my first smoke the deer is curing... and hopefully will turn into jerky tommorrow... hows it going down east any tips for the first smoke?

Slate, is in Wood County on RT-14S heading south into Elizabeth, Wirt County. I am located 20 minutes from Parkersburg,WV and 21 minutes from Belpre, OH.

I love it here in WV. I would never move back to NY.

Isn't that the area where there is Bluefield, WV and Bluefield,Va is located at, as being at the SSE most part of West Virginia? I was looking at property in the Flattop area outside of Beckley.WV back in 1998.

Steve, you're exactly right. I was born on the WV side, then my parents moved to the VA side, then when I went out on my own I went to the WV side. Now I'm doing the same thing in another border town, Bristol, TN/VA. I've been to Flat Top many times. Used to go up there (very close by, at Winterplace) and ski.
