On  Wednesday PM  a 30 hour snow storm started that created between 14 to 18 inches of fairly wet snow in Milwaukee, Wi. It was a days of old snow storm. Here are some neat pictures of my garage.

That's quite a bit of snow. We haven't had anything like that in this part of New York since I was a kid, and that is a long time ago. In my area when that storm hit us, it dumped 3 inches of rain.

Nice to see that I am not the only one with christmas lights still on their garage! ;) ::)

car54

Those are not Christmas lights. They are Valentine Day lights

WOW, I just freed up enough time (by not taking down the lights) to squeeze in another smoke!!!!!!

Thanks!!!! ;D

Kane

hey Brad.

glad you survived. Im down in Kenosha county.

car54

Kane , you probably received just as much. I would not consider this a horrible storm because it happened over 24 hours. When I went to work in the morning there was about 1 inch of snow. They let us leave work early at 2:00 PM and it was fun driving home. The big problem was the visibility. It has been a unique winter and your area had the tornadoes in January.

An other interesting story of this storm was the traffic stoppage by Madison. I believe that 2 semis jack knifed on the freeway blocking it. There was a 19 mile back up involving 2000 cars and I believe that there were no accidents. Wow, that is a mess

Kane

yup, I live out in Kenosha county. (Paddock Lake) the tornado that hit wheatland was about 2 miles from my house.

iceman

I'd rather have some more snow than the dang cold we've been getting up here. Minus 60 at work yesterday in Prudhoe Bay and minus 20 at the house this morning. Chicken Alaska up by Jim had minus 72F. Yuk. :( :D

pensrock

Iceman, your name has it nailed! I love winter but think I may change my mind if I lived where you do.
Keep warm.

car54

Iceman, you have my absolute respect for living in those conditions and I know that other members live in very cold climates. What are some of your survival techniques like cars a batteries. How long do you venture outside. Give us the inside scoop.
