I don't know about everyone else, but I love the internet. I'm in my 40's and I think it is simply amazing that i can go on a site like this and make friends from all over the country/world. I have learned so much on this site in a short time. My smoking comes out great thanks to this site. People ask me where I got my recipes and I say the internet and they are amazed. I am just so happy to have found this forum. The internet is an amazing thing. If this is what happens on this site imagine what happens on all of the other specialized sites every day. simply incredible. Computers were just starting out when I was in school. When in college, we did a few things on computers, but nothing like now. I am rambling, but I just wanted to convey my thoughts, because based on the ages of the majority of posters on this site I think you all have to have been thinking the same thoughts at some time or another. Anyway, I love the internet age!!! ;D ;D

I couldn't agree more with you Terry.  The only thing I would add is it takes a special group of people to frequent a forum such as this with basically not a problem or argument whatsoever. It really does speak volumes for the calibre, both knowledge and personality, of the people who make up this great forum. The forum is a definite asset and an honor to be a member of.

It really is a small world.

10 years ago if you told me I'd be chatting on a forum and surfing the net I'd of thought you were off your rocker! It has been just incredible the friends I feel have made all over the world on this forum. Anymore I feel incomplete without a laptop with me when I travel. As O would say "Crazy ain't it"!!!  :D ;)

I couldn't agree with you guys more. I don't get to post as often as I like lately because I have been so busy, but I check in daily to read the posts. Besides work related sites this has to be my most frequently visited site. Not only because I love smoking but the caliber of posters on this site.

CLAREGO

tell me about it had it since 94 lol

Big Dawgg

There are very few forums out there where the people get along as well as this site. It is great to have a place where you can ask a question and not get hammered about being a newbie and asking questions that have been asked before. A real testament to those on this site. Keep it up everyone and thanks for a great source for info.

I agree, guys.  Wonderful place to hang out and learn stuff.  Can't say anybody here has rubbed me the wrong way, as has happened just about every other board I've visited (others have been relating to NASCAR).

Get people talking about food and beverages and it puts them in a pleasant mood.  Maybe we should start a debate about where you can find the best barbeque.

I'm with you TT. The NASCAR board that I used to visit SUCKS! Actually, it's the people on the boards that I hated. And honestly, I'll still watch at least part of a few select races, but my interest in the sport I've loved since the early 70's is getting less and less all the time. Like you said, the people on this board are what make it such a great place. :)

I told you guys...(grew up in Daytona) Nascar peeps are...um...testy? Bikers are cool!! I think every NASCAR guy on here is kool...but you guys are different...ah...friendly?

Been to the track twice (Daytona), LQ. I always just loved the racing, not the racers. Nowadays people want to shoot you if you badmouth their favorite driver. I really never had a favorite, but there were a few that I didn't like at all. Now I really don't care who wins, as long as a chosen 2 or 3 don't. 8)

Tiny Tim

Depending on my mood, my list of chosen do not win drivers varies from 3-10 names. :D  Always pullin' for about 4 drivers, against the previously mentioned 3-10, and the rest don't bother me what they do, win or lose.

I kinda pull for the Virginia boys, except for Hamlin. I don't feel like he's "paid his dues". :P
