For those of you that use Hi Mountain, I noticed that the cures and seasonings are now available in bulk.

You can buy the cure separate from the seasonings

"Now available in bulk. Order your favorite Hi Mountain Seasoning and Cure in bulk containers. 7 pounds of cure will treat approximately 390 pounds of meat Don't forget to order your favorite flavor of Seasoning also!

Our price: $11.53"

Sounds like a Sams club size order, but when you do five or 10 lb a week...

The seasonings are available in 5lb packages (will treatt 350 pounds of meat) for $31.74

I've never used Hi-Mountain but maybe I'll give it a try.

We have been very pleased with the Hi Mountain product.

They have a "Jerky Maker's Variety Pack" that contains the following flavors:

Original Blend
Mesquite Blend
Hickory Blend
Cracked Pepper N Garlic
Cajun Blend

Each flavor will do 4lb of muscle meat.

Being on a low-carb diet, jerky is one of the primary snack foods in the FLBentRider home.

Having the cure portion available separately and in bulk (and cheap!) will allow us an economical way to develop our own flavors.

I've been using Hi Mountain brand for years with my dehydrator for jerky. Now that I have a Bradley, I've been using the same recipes, minus the liquid smoke.

I've been making tons of jerky for the past three years using Hi Mtn spices and the Jerky Cannon.  (Put nearly 200 lbs. through my 10 tray SS dehydartor between Haloween and Xmas last year.

Hi Mountain has been very good to me, and their variety of flavors is awesome.  Great to hear that they're offering bulk purchasing now.  Thanks!

Hi Mountain Inferno Blend is awsome. When an old western is to come on cable like 'Good Bad and Ugly' or 'Magnificant 7' or something along those line of classics I got to prepair a batch of inferno blend for the movie that weekend and sip on a jim beam and 7up or a sam adams boston ale.

The other Hi Mountain flavores are excellent as well, but I cant go with out their Inferno blend.

I ordered a box of inferno along with the bulk cure and some garlic and cracked pepper.

Enough cure for 390lbs of meat was under $12.00!

I am looking forward to using the cure to develop my own flavors.

I bought my last batch from Tiny Tim.  There are many other places to order it from as well.

The last 2 batches I ordered direct from Hi Mountain. The 1st one was a "buy 6 get xx% off" special, and then the second one was the bulk order.

Sorry TT, I didn't think to look. Do you carry the bulk cure ?

Not yet...only found out about it reading this thread.

I see they keep thier distribution network up to date!

:D :D :D

Is is something you would carry. 7lb "lots" of cure seems like a "niche" item. Especially at that price point.

Well, I'm only a small retailer of their products.  Only stock 4 SKU's, as that was the initial inventory I could afford at the time.

Our primary focus is Auto Parts, then Liquor, and now the Smokers and Accessories are being brought in to try to boost sagging sales.  Gonna take some time to re-align our inventory to what I want to do.
