What I like about this forum

I want you all to know how much I appreciate this forum.  Here's a great example of why.  I was on another forum and there were some folks "advising" some inquiries about a subject that could literally have cost them their lives.  When I posted an opposing view, I was verbally assaulted with some of the most vile names and innuendos I have ever encountered.  Please know how much I appreciate all of you and your warm welcome.

Thanks a lot guys and gals, let all smoke something and have a beverage.  Whew, life is simply too short.

I look and sometimes reply to a number of forums that are outdoor related, fishing anf hunting, and it is to the point i do not reply as there is a bunch of trolls that just look to jump all over you. I reand ignores them and eventually they stopalize everyone has their own opinion but it is getting ridiculous. Iknow I am from the country of rednecks but there is a point where things get out of hand. These guys think their point of view is the only one so whenever I or anybody says different they respond. All in all it gets to the point where everyone recognizes this and they eventually they stop. Truth shall prevail

I could not agree anymore, I'm quite a guest on a certain car forum but they tend to go off on different directions and not a feeling of comadrire (sp) aka family....our (and I say that honestly) our forum is made up of real people, with real convictions and a real....well we're just real, not the BS that goes on elsewhere, just real people.......OK I said to much, gots to be that mesquite!  ;D  Didn't mean to rant!

You're right, KY.  There is a difference between here and many other places.  Unfortunately, some people become 6'4" and 300 pounds behind a computer and firewall.  It's their only opportunity to lash out at people without taking an old-fashioned arse beating (which is what they'd receive if they did it to my face).  I've found that this is one of the few places I will view my opinions because I know that while most will simply shake their head and think, "What a dumb arse", they'll never really say it.  I feel as comfortable as I can here without worrying about coming off weird.  It really is a compliment to the fine folks who use this board.  It also leads me to believe that if you smoke food, it puts you in a euphoric state so that no meanness comes out.  Forget Prozac.....for depression, use Pulled Pork  ;D

Great post Ky. I know I come up with some crazy stuff in some of my posts. ::) Not necessarily my opinions but something to make us think a little while chomping down on the great foods we all create. Just a great place to be. :)

Yes i have to say we have the nicest forum/community that i've ever witnessed online. I visit other forums, some are nice with decent members, but don't compare to our place here  ;)

That's what I love about you, WTS.  You're pretty much like what my wife tells me about myself.  You may be wrong, but at least you stand by your convictions and stay wrong all the way through  ;) ;D

Ya know what...in this day it's nice to have a very common ground to talk to people about...everyone eats..I think it's amazing that sooo many people can come together from totally different backgrounds...and discuss a passion in their lives. Whether it is smoked or not...there are so many facinating and interesting people on this forum...it really is a nice place to learn stuff and...make friends.
