SD,

My food processor has the plastic dough blade.  I bought the food processor the day after Thanksgiving - got a Cuisinart 14 cup for 1/2 price.  I never thought I needed one before but have changed my mind now.

It's a thing of beauty and ease, Deb.  I think they actually sell an adapter for some food processors that assists with making bread, dough, etc., but the mixing/chopping blade works very well also.

My wife also told me to tell you thanks......it was your posts that led me to believe that even I could make GOOD homemade pizza.  She really likes the stuff I was able to put out last time.

I have the 11 cup Cuisinart, and when I purchased it the machine came with a stainless steel dough blade. It looks exactly like the cutting blade, but he edges are blunt.

I've got a Cuisanart as well but no dough blade  ???

If I remember correctly in Giada's pizza dough recipe she said to use the chopping blade.

My Cuisinart came with a plastic dough blade.

I'm sure mine probably did as well, however, I fear the female yardape may have grabbed it to use as some sort of accessory for her Barbie or Hanna Montana or whatever else type of doll is in right now.

Thanks Deb!

Here is my first attempt to making my own pizza from scratch.
I used one of the dough recipes that S.Duck got from Deb.
I had to mix by hand because I do not have a stand mixer or food processor.
I did not know I had to allow the dough to rise so as soon as it was mixed I made the pizza.
I probably did not kneed it like I should have also.
But for my first time it came out pretty good.  :)

Assembled and ready to go into the hot oven.

In the oven, just about ready to come out.

Out of the oven, ready to eat.

Thanks Deb and SD for the help.

Dude.......that looks great!  Very well done for the first try...much like smoking, even when things don't work out exactly as planned, still some pretty darn good grub!

Thanks,
I couldn't have done it without Deb and you coaching me on.

Really, Deb was my inspiration as well.  All the credit is due to her  ;)  Once you get it down, you won't buy another one, unless you're just too dang tired to cook!
