(try wearing a Penguins jersey in an arena filled with Red Wings fans).

Or a Predator fan in Detroit! - especially one wearing a TooToo jersey.  But then we ALL know that Detroit Sucks!  ;D

I think everyone has a right to voice their opinions at games.  With that being said, I do also think a person has a right to go to a game and not be insulted personally at said game.  ...
I would agree here as long as their opinions are of the game and the teams and directed that way which is what I take your second sentence to say.

My idea would not be to text security but to grab him by the back of the neck and tell him to shut the hell up or there will be dire consequences.  I do realize that might not be the best way to tackle the issue, but it is my way  ;D

Wouldn't agree with you here though Duck.  Just like the players on the field, that one that gets caught usually isn't the one that needs to be ejected.  Unfortunatly, some fans go beyond the verbal and have caused serious injury to the point where now they do physical body searches of the fans entering the game.  No Duck, not cavity searches, sorry.  The only thing they will find is if you cary a large weapon under your arm pits or waist band.  You could walk in with a 44 Mag in your pants pocket though.  ???

Congrats on your team getting to the playoffs Giz.  I do think it was a mistake on Denver's part to fire Shanahan though.  This oughta be a great year for playoffs.  I'm really hoping for a win by SD and Miami this week.

Thanks, I wish all the other fans with teams in the playoff the best of luck unless they are playing the Chargers.  ;D

Giz,  I find what I'd like to do and what I usually do is often two different things.  The older I get the more I tend to do the rational thing  ;)  However, most bullies I've run into (and that's really all most of the rebel rousers are) don't like being bullied back.  I once had to deal with an individual who loved beating a female relative.  It was amazing how he didn't feel the beating should be extended back to him and when confronted, he cowered like a puppy that just peed the rug.  However, now, I just mainly ignore the types of folks who would try and ruin someone else's experience at a game........seems like if you don't give them the attention they so desperately seek, they usually just go away or pipe down.

I think if you're a Lions fan, life isn't that bad........in the long run.  They get a new coach, they get two first round picks to start rebuilding the team.  I would think most Lion fans had written off this season after the first 5 games....now, they have a little something to look forward to.  For those of you still left unhappy about your teams, please feel free to join Steeler Nation!
