Hi everyone Ross here and I am new to Bradley.
We got our smoker about two weeks ago through our local
super market loyalty program so it was FREE :o. I had been
using an old  Little Chief smoker but now with a OBS I can
really see the smoking world opening up to me. This coming
weekend is my Birthday and the wife wanted to cook me a
special meal but I told her I wanted to smoke a chicken in the
new smoker. I can hardly wait.  Thanks to everyone for posting
great ideas on the board I hope I can contribute in the future.

Welcome Ross!  The beauty of getting your smoker for free is that you can easily justify any and all purchases by showing the wife a much lower CPS ratio than most of us (Cost Per Smoke).  I highly suggest getting about 200 pounds of assorted meats so that you can get your CPS up near ours so that my wife doesn't point out how low yours is and start browbeating me  ;D  You'll really like being a part of this forum....some great folks around here.

FREE!!  That rocks!  Enjoy it - We all know you will!  Get to smoking dude!  BTW - hint - The Cowgirl trick on the smoked chicken is awesome - put slices of sausage under the skin.

Ross,

Welcome to the forum!!!  Free is good, real good.  That will help offset the costs that having many new friends will bring.

Remember to come back here often.  Great advice, good people, and some of the most mouth-watering digital images allowed by law.
