Nepas,
What is a moink ball?
Deb
A mooinkball is a seasoned meatball, then wrapped with bacon. Smoked or bbq'd until the bacon is crispy. Then topped with your fav sauce. Returned to the smoker/bbq or oven for 5 mins until the sauce gets kinda tacky. Mooink
Mo= is the beef meatball
Oink= is the bacon
Mooink ;D :D

Cool, thanks
I might just have to eat one of those.
I'm baking tomorrow & Sunday for next weekend ;D
Nepas:
Are the meatballs cooked or raw when you put them in the smoker?
Thanks, KAZ
meatballs are pre-cooked
THANKS!!! I suspected as much ....... but always best to check.
I'm making them next weekend for friends.
Kaz, you can make them yourself, but easiest to go to Sam's or the like and buy a big bag of them already done. I'd advise using a thin bacon - it cooks faster. And only need about 1/2 slice for each. Again, keeping the bacon bulk down - for quicker cooking. Glaze with BBQ sauce the last 20 minutes or so.
I'm going to make some up after my shoulder heals up some from the operation, I plan to melt down some pepper jelly and use that as my glaze on the moinkballs. I think the sweet & spicy will go well with these little beauties.
Pens, that sounds like that will taste really good. That might be a good recipe for my next contest. I've got some hot jalapeno jelly I put up a couple of years ago just setting there waiting to be used.

I made some with turkey bacon over the weekend... (in case you have someone who can't/won't eat the real stuff) Crisped up/turned out great. The meatballs are the 1.5" variety from GFS.
I have a request to use turkey meatballs and wrap in turkey bacon. (for someone on a poultry-only diet) Not sure what to call them... GOBBLE balls, anyone?

Why not call them
Squirt's Strutters? SS's for short
Caneyscud,
I'll be making them hopefully in the next two weeks, if you try it before me let me know what you think.

I make my own also. The one time that I made moinkballs I used raw meatballs and they came out great. Just need to make sure they cook through
