Nepas,

What is a moink ball?

Deb

A mooinkball is a seasoned meatball, then wrapped with bacon. Smoked or bbq'd until the bacon is crispy. Then topped with your fav sauce. Returned to the smoker/bbq or oven for 5 mins until the sauce gets kinda tacky.  Mooink

Mo=  is the beef meatball

Oink= is the bacon

Mooink  ;D  :D

Thanks, KAZ

Kaz, you can make them yourself, but easiest to go to Sam's or the like and buy a big bag of them already done.  I'd advise using a thin bacon - it cooks faster.  And only need about 1/2 slice for each.  Again, keeping the bacon bulk down - for quicker cooking.  Glaze with BBQ sauce the last 20 minutes or so.

I'm going to make some up after my shoulder heals up some from the operation, I plan to melt down some pepper jelly and use that as my glaze on the moinkballs. I think the sweet & spicy will go well with these little beauties.

Caneyscud

Pens, that sounds like that will taste really good.  That might be a good recipe for my next contest.  I've got some hot jalapeno jelly I put up a couple of years ago just setting there waiting to be used.

I made some with turkey bacon over the weekend...  (in case you have someone who can't/won't eat the real stuff)   Crisped up/turned out great.   The meatballs are the 1.5" variety from GFS.

I have a request to use turkey meatballs and wrap in turkey bacon. (for someone on a poultry-only diet)   Not sure what to call them...   GOBBLE balls, anyone?

Caneyscud

Why not call them
