(sorry guys, couldn't resist)
Nice pictures, eh! ;D
Looks like a wonderful time Pat, great pics... but.... no BBQ? ;D
That one's 10 years old. We have a new one now that's much different. They've taken some things away form us like - cell phones and driving, smoking in parks or beaches, use of forest service roads etc etc etc. They added some new things like HST and and ridiculous bylaws. We also have a recycling program that doesn't pick up glass and a fantastic medical system that can't tell the difference between an ankle and a broken ankle.
Man, that library is out of date. ::) ::) ::)
They had Old Kentucky Whiskey in Egypt?
Ya know your only 2 hrs from me?
Much farther away now... Back home in IL.
It was a quick (almost 'whirlwind') trip to NYC.

from me too ;D
We're already planning return trips to check out the 1000 or so things we missed this time. (including a proper Pastrami sammy for me) The little hotel we found was a perfect (and reasonably priced) base camp. We will stay there again without a doubt.
We'll have to plan a meet-up next time!

Or we can travel out to neutral territory, so you don't have to drive into that madhouse..
Last post.
I was uploading all of our pics last night, and ran across this one that MrsSTC took. Lady Liberty and lower Manhattan in the background..

Staying 4 nights, they knocked 10% off of the room rate. It came out to $163/night, and that included breakfast.
It's a great location with a subway stop just 100' from the door.
The rooms were tiny, but most of them are in those old buildings. It was nice and quiet, and clean. Will definitely stay there again next time.
I'd also highly recommend getting a City Pass (http://www.citypass.com/new-york?mv_source=partnerfusion&cmpid=google_City%2520pass%2520NYC&gclid=COvSoZaUm6MCFREoDAodEWd_lA).
