Title: future sausage
Post by: micman on January 16, 2011, 05:11:29 PM
Today I was wondering around one of the local supermarkets, checking out the meat aisles, came across pork legs for 89 cents a pound. I bought two and they are now cut up into 2.5, 3 and a couple 5 pound bags and into the freezer they went. Saved  3 lbs for tomorrow, gonna mix with 7lbs buffalo and make some polish kielbasa with an extra boost of chopped garlic. ;D(http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x388/micman2/IMG_3003.jpg)(http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x388/micman2/IMG_3002.jpg) :D ;D

I had (16) 8 to 9 lb butts in Cold Storage at My Mom's freezer.

I brought them home and got 11 in the Freezer for future Butt smokes

and put 5 in fridge to un-freeze and grind into 4lb pkg for future sausage making.

It is always best to be prepared. ;D
