Wanted to do a couple butts today, but I didn't want to spend the night with them.
9 1/2lb'er with Cajun Injector Creole Butter

5 hours of Hickory and PID set at 260*

After about an hour put these on the top rack to catch some smoke for two hours.

They are done.

At the 6 hour mark the Butts were 166* and 159* and taking on a nice color.

My Daughter came into town And I have been busy making Sausage.
At 10:30 last nite (after 9 1/2 hrs of turbo for 18lbs of butts) they went to FTC.

"Q" unlike my bourbon sauce where I tell y'all to use the cheap stuff I would go with Capt Morgan spiced rum or another
good rum for this cook.
Since I don't drink I don't know of other rums but I do know that Capt. Morgan's ain't cheap so it must be good.
Kimmie's cousin will only drink Capt Morgan spiced rum so that's what I went with and it worked great
I used to drink the Captain until I found two others that I like better: Admiral Nelson (has a vanilla flavor) and Sailor Jerry (has a cherry flavor). Additionally, both are cheaper in my neck of the woods.

I noticed you scored(sp) the fat cap, is that so that so the rub gets to the meat?
