Title: My RARE Prime Rib
Post by: thirtydaZe on January 04, 2012, 11:30:07 AM
Well this was my first go at a prime rib. It was just a baby at 1.87 lbs. time was short so i flash fried it on my pit at 300*
Basically it was a just a tester cook, my mom wanted to try prime rib bbq style so we made a sample...

Out of cooker, 122*

This is how she turned out.
This is it, rested about 30 min, FTC.

Sliced it thin so everyone could have a little bite or 2, but that's all it was used for.
Surprisingly the flavor was great, or so i'm told.

Way to rare for me, but i think i could get used to making these little guys for dinner more and more often.

That's stick burner actually.

Treating me well!  Thanks.

It's a fun little process to learn.

Whoops, my bad.   Saw Yoder and thought that you had a pooper.   Someone else on here has one.

That's the way I likes my beef.  You get it that way if you order it "bleu" in France.  Delicious.  Horse meat that way is excellent too.

I usually take mine to 130 for medium then ftc for about 1 hour then under broiler for about 10 minutes to crisp up the top.
