Title: Whiskey Oak versus Jim Beam
Post by: Smokeville on February 10, 2012, 06:30:37 AM
I finally got some of each to see how they compare to the late great Crown Royal....

I couldn't resist trying them on chicken. Put a 9lb roaster and two 4lb friers in each smoker.

Oh my! I think the Jim Beam won the taste test but gosh they both were great!

Here's a photo of the results of the roasters..... 6 hours in the smoker, plus 30 minutes in the oven at 325F to bring the IT to 165F. They are just about to be tented to rest....

I purchased them from our friends at Yard & Pool.  http://www.yardandpool.com/Bradley-Smoker-Bisquettes-120-Pack-WHISKEY-OAK-p/btwose120.htm Also purchased the 120 box of Hickory and Pecan to go with the order.
