Title: Thicker Jerky?
Post by: rbentle2 on September 04, 2007, 06:39:11 PM
Has anyone tried making jerky in their BS that's cut thicker than the normal 1/4" pre-dried thickness? I had some good Jack Links jerky recently that was about 3/8" to 1/2" in thickness. Is it just a matter of curing and smoking longer? Any tips would be appreciated.

Yep, that's what I'm looking for. Same process as the thinner jerky, adjusting smoking time?
