Title: Smoked BBQ Sauce
Post by: Mr Pigo on March 12, 2011, 07:38:39 PM
Hey all I have been making my own sauce and was thinking of putting a bowl of it in the smoker to add some smoke flavour to use for grilling. Has anyone done this. Does it pick up a smoke flavour that is noticeable when put on burgers ect that I have just grilled.

I haven't done it to sauce but I have cold smoked ketchup. It picks up a good smoke flavor. So I imagine it would work with BBQ sauce.

If it's anything like ketchup, let it age for a few days and it will even get better.

id believe it.letting it rest for 2 hours was good ,a little longer would make it real good.
