If I might...

I'd add the Icelandic hangikjot... lamb hung and smoked over peat.  Flavor is quite... different.  My Icelandic wife introduced me to it, and now it's worth the trip over.

Oh, and no, they don't smoke meat over volcanoes.  Might be worth a try, though....

My daughter's dog has food allergies.  The vet recommended a kangaroo based dry dog food.  The dog didn't like it so she gave it to us.  My wife put it out at the "feeding station" for the coons, possums, skunks - whatever.  They didn't much care for it either.  Wasn't that bad  ;D
