Puck Advance motors

Hi Guys, there was a thread going at the beginning part of this year, regarding the puck advance motor,
Did anyone find a suitable substitute or were there any cures found?. this subject seems to have died,
I have two smoke units that have stripped gears and one new one that Bradley sent me, that still works.
Anyone?.
