Getting ready to do a bunch of pulled pork before SWMBO's sisters get here for a visit.  My usual practice has been Jan's Rub, then refrigerate for about 8 hours.  This time I'm considering applying the rub, then refrigerating for about 24 hours before smoking.  Does anyone see an issue with the extending the time from rub application to smoking?

Although I rub and cook immediately with excellent results, I see no harm in rubbing and then chilling for 24.

No issue at all doing that way. Many butcher stores prep their roasts with some kind of rub and charge big time extra for doing it. Those roast can sit there for a few days before getting sold.

I don't see how this can do anything but help flavor profile.  I typically inject the day before but sometimes rub also with nice results.  Rub a dub dub...

i typically rub mine the day before. i had a beef roast that sat rubbed for around 2 days and it was great.

Not a problem at all.  Just be sure to wrap in plastic wrap as the salt in the Rub will pull moisture out of the meat and then that start absorbing it back into the meat.

Like they said, go for it. I do that often with great results.
