Big Dr. Who fan here.  We got it on PBS out of Buffalo NY up here in Toronto in the 70s & 80s.  Now the Canadian Broadcast Corp carries it, but same thing - we're way behind on the new episodes.  Tom Baker is my favourite, because that's who I grew up on.  Used to scare the bejesus out of my younger brother too so it made the show even better.  Every halloween, I go looking for a long scarf, a long coat and a bag of jelly babies and then decide against it at the last minute.

Loved the recent episode where they brought Sarah back with K-9.  Great memories from that.

Funny you should say that, I can clearly remember my younger brother hiding behind the sofa many years ago scared witless by the Cybermen, Daleks et al. I am 47 now and my brother is 44, like to remind him about it from time to time.  ;) :D

One of my recent favourites is the episode set in New York in the "depression" of the 1930's, think it was aired around April 2007 on this side of the pond. Just watching it on satellite as I type this!!  ;)

And another bit of useless information, William Hartnell who played the first Dr Who between 1963 and 1966 would have been 100 years old today!!

Geez Manx I just realized I get BBC America off my satellite. I watch it once in awhile. I'll have to check out the sat guide to see if it's ever on. Would be nice to see some of Dr Who again.

Since this posting is originally about wanting to smoke some loins to make Bacon - here's an update.

There was a break in the rainy weather and I was able to put the loins into the smoker for 2 hrs of apple.
At that point I pulled them and put them into the oven till done.  No sooner than I got the OBS cooled off
(open door and 45 deg weather helped cut cool down time to 5 min) and quickly covered, came the rain.
Just in the nick of time  :D

Just finished slicing and vacuum sealing 10 lbs of bacon for the freezer.  5 lbs are ready for consumption.
The Original is awesome as always.
The Hot (rubbed down with cayenne pepper too) is pretty good.
The Sweet (bathed in Maple Syrup too) is also pretty good.

Got my Hollandaise, my egg poacher and english muffins in in the toaster - I'm set!  :D  ;)

Made Eggs Benedict for dinner, while watching a 5 minute Dr. Who Special - David Tennant & Peter Davis meet in the TARDIS.  :D  ;D

Lunch tomorrow is smoked cheese, smoked canadian bacon and crackers - YUMMMMMM

Raining here all weekend but I have a 12 lb bone in pork butt in the smoker right now. (under the roof overhang) Crazy weather tho. Local ski mountain here on the island already has 400cm of base --we usually don't get anywhere near that until March. Several people have died in the last week here in BC becuase of the heavy unstable snowpack.
