I live in Saskatchewan so we have a lot of pretty good fishing right around here. We also take an annual trip, six of us, to Northern Manitoba. We rent a cabin that is located on Cranberry 1 just outside Cranberry Portage. We have been going there for about 13 or 14 years. We have fishing a fair number of lakes while still staying in the same cabin. There is 100's of lakes around there. It's right in the Shield, very pretty country. Some of the lakes we fish over in Manitoba are Cranberry 1, Cranberry 2, Cranberry 3, the Grass River, Elbow Lake, Schist lake, Payuk Lake, Iskwasum Lake, Lake Athapapuskow. There's more but that's off the top of my head.

The cabin we get is really pretty comfy for the 6 of us. fridge, stove, BBQ, hot water & shower. Nothing fancy but comfy just the same. It's only about a 8 or 9 hour drive for us. We mainly fish walleye pike and lake trout while were there.
