Hi all,
I am truly impressed with this smoker! Easy to use! Easy to control temperature. No soaking chips or tending to the fire. Fantastic ribs were easy!

My wife talked me into some BB Ribs for my first smoke since the family loves 'em. I have some rub I got at a local store called Butt Rub. Used a thin layer of yellow mustard and then a good coating of butt rub. Wrapped in plastic wrap and into the fridge for 4 hours while I seasoned my BD6 with 2 hours of special blend and took a nap since I had been up working all night.

Out of the fridge for 1 hour on the counter and turned the heat up to 300*. I didn't want to cook that hot but I wanted the extra heat in the cabinet so the temp didn't get way super low when I loaded the ribs. Put the ribs in and let the cabinet get to 215 then turned the heat down to 230* and left it there for 3 hours of maple smoke.

Wrapped ribs in some foil with a healthy splash of apple juice and back in for 2 hours. Unwrapped ribs and put a light coat of some BBQ sauce and back in for a 45 mins.

They were great! Everyone loved them. I think it is so funny to see my 2 yr old, 3 yr old and 8 yr old girls get so excited when they taste something so good. Talk about a good feeling!

I didn't want to waste any smoke so I also threw in some cream cheese stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon for an hour worth of smoke as well. I have made these plenty of times in the offset smoker  but the BD6 seems to smoke very clean and efficient. Again I was impressed.

Not only do we like them, but it gives you a visual record for you to look back on.

Be sure and takes notes for yourself.

Again Congrats!

Thanks to all. Ready to pull the yard bird out of the brine and into the BD6. I'll get back at ya after a while.

Good going KEABOS63.  Nothing like great homemade food.  We rarely go out to restaurants anymore.  But, then, there's cleanup  >:(

Where there's smoke, there's food.

Yes the clean up is the worste part. Luckily my wife is the best and does most of that stuff. Chicken is in! Lets see how this goes.
