I have done some Ribs and some brisked and the meat I have done is better than what I expected.  How good of BBQ am I making compared to the comp guys traveling the states getting paid big bucks.  I use the simple recipies listed on the forum and the sister forum/recipie site.  Thanks in advance everyone.

Feel the same way you do, KurtI . . . both about the Q and the organ donation.

Kurt,

I know I've posted this before, but instead of making you search for it:

I saw a show on FoodNetwork where they followed a bunch of BBQ teams around the country to all the festivals one season. They all drove into town pullin' their big armadillo/beer bottle/sixgun-shaped trailer smokers.

These were what they used to sell the food to the masses in attendance. What amazed me was at least 3 of the featured teams used a Bradley to cook the stuff to turn into the judges.

And yes, I'd put mine up against any of their's any day, I just don't have the time to compete. Most local fest's I've been to, the product is mediocre at best. But then again, I live in the "barbaclueless" state of Indiana where it doesn't matter how you cook it, just soak it with sauce.[xx(]
