OBS smoked Tri-Tip

Great job.  I too like my beef rare-med rare.  I pull my tri-tip at 135* and FTC approx. 2hrs.  Comes out perfect for me.  As for the rub, I use a good rub down with OO, garlic salt and coarse ground black pepper, simple but good.  Caney, we can't get good brisket here in Ca. for less than $4.50/# even at Costco, tri tip at $3.50/# any time.  So I do a lot of tri-tip and very few brisket.
