Did up another batch of ribs the other day in the tumbler and some MOJO

Put the flavor plates in this time

After a 40 min ride put on the racks to drip dry then left one plain and applied some salt free stuff to the others.

After 2 hr smoke

Did the foil thing with just 4 pats of butter in each cocoon and back in the smoker for 1 1/2 hr then made a little foil bowl outta each cocoon and added some BBQ sauce to each bowl, basted and back in the smoker for just over 30 min, long enough for the sauce to set.

Cut up sample size

Lets eat! One of each

Tabys plate

Even JD got some bones

Everyone thought the Forward had the best combo of flavors,,,I had to put hot sauce on mine.
Next time its MOJO/HOT SAUCE then salt free stuff

Actually our Vet said the rib bones were soft enough to give to our dogs.  We did and never had a problem.  That said,,, OU you can make some dang good ribs...I'd gnaw on a bone or two myself!

Looks great!  Our dogs always enjoy rib bones. No problem. But we do pick up the small or sharp peices. Even our tiny toy dont have problems.

I've always been under the impression that it is not safe.  However, I did some research on this since yesterday.

The general consensus from much Google searching is that it is NOT safe to give rib bones to a dog, especially a larger breed.  Cooked rib bones turn soft, making them easier to splinter and swallow the sharp pieces. It's your dog and vet bill, I suppose.

You have made another tumbler - brine enhanced seasoned extravaganza.  Looks beautiful.  I'm with TedEbear on this one, no rib bones for my dogs, your rib bones are okay fo me tho.
