Hey guys don't get upset when Martin moves this thread to the open "off topic" forum.... until then I enjoyed the read.

Sorry, didn't mean to appear off topic. Just my way of introducing myself as a new "user," coming off a weekend high after wowing friends and acquaintances with a couple of pork shoulders and four racks of ribs (done to semi-perfection, he said modestly). The Ms invited around 15-20 of our nearest and dearest to experience my first production, and they responded appropriately with rave reviews.  Anyway, I'll be surprised if CB doesn't get two or three orders from this since I showed the unit off at least three separate times during the evening, to adoring fans who claimed they had to get one for themselves.

Glad to be a BS-er,

There once was a man from Sweden
who said he'd rather be eatin'
a plate of smoked ham from a Bradley.
But while he drank stout
the power went out
So there the poor swede sat sadly.

There once was a man sitting sadly
Staring at meat smoked badly
Threw the dog the pork bone
Said I'll develop my own
Thus born the Original Bradley

I can see by this thread that a Bradley even makes you a smarter and even a poet, dang...name one smoker that can do that...cookshack eat your heart out.  By the way, whats a little off topic amunst'a us friends anyway.

It's not how much you smoke but how many friends you make while doing it...

iceman

A man and his wife
Who both had a knife
Came up with something to do

They cut up pork meat
Which they thought was neat
Then a friend gave them a clue

Then into the Bradley
The meat did go gladly
And was cooked to a perfect chew

Next day came the cow
So they tried it for chow
Yep that was some good ole smoked moo!  ::) :D

Thanks y'all for the rousing welcome. I appreciated all of the warm sentiments and poetic responses. Whaddya think? Do we still have a bit to go before we set up a separate forum for smoker poetry - like Olds did for recipes? Or not?

Just wondering - but still grateful for the welcome. I was just about to suggest an end to this thread, but on the other hand, why not keep 'em comin' (off-subject police be damned)

Thanks again, and best regards to all,

Too funny, but I understand why Martin is keeping this order. If nothing else it helps finding an older topic for review.
