THere is an Owstrich farm a few miles from the house towards the Wild Animal Park.  They have a stand on the corner and sell owstrich jerky.

Here I thought there was only 1 Owstrich in the world--and we lay claim to him here on the BS board! We're in real trouble if they're raising more! ;D ;D

Yup, bunch a little Os running around from time to time.  Looks like I'll have to get a few pictures of the chicks.  As far as resemblence, you'll have to be the judge of that.  After all, were talking about roars, hisses, chips and moans so sound wise, could be a wash. :D ;)

Interesting enough, the dirty jobs guy did a show on the bird last night.  They talked about one of them taking off a truck door.  Takes a little bit of power to pop one of them off.
