Pork Butt:

Rubbed butts [two @5-6lbs each] a few days ago with Bad Byron's Butt Rub.
As a new BSS owner, I have been waiting for a day off to get started. Today was the day.

3:00am start pre heat, butts to the counter for temp adjustment.
4:00am smoke [apple] rolling, butts go in, play with temp until 5:00am 220ish
Spent the rest of the day checking temps, of smoker, butt temps rising as predicted in many great threads here.
12:00 noon IT of 190 reached
FTC'ed until 4:00pm
Best thing I have ever eaten.

Wow just as easy as can be. I am now officially hooked!

Pics to come.

That is classified. You need to tell people how hard you work at it. Numerous trip to check the temperature (as you pass the adult beverage refrigerator), etc....

I can't believe you got up at 3 am to start!  I just did my first pork butt on Tuesday and it turned out great too.  I work with a guy from TN who lives on smoked pork butts and he got me to try one.

Wow - I remember when my smoker looked that bright!  There is a sure fire fix for that problem - more smoke!  ;D

Chow looks great!  ;)

Nice looking product.   Arcs is right though.  You need to work on that "frowned" concerned I think I f'ed up this project look.  Push a few buttons.  Scratch your head.  Play with tools and lool like you're doing something important (while avoiding other chores).

And have a beer, or two.  You get the idea.  And don't forget to remind the significant other how hard you worked to make a special meal for him/her.
